Week 3 of Summer Club: A Sensory Adventure, Magical Mermaids, and Fun-Filled Outings

Week 3 at our Summer Club was packed with exciting activities, creativity, and exploration! Here's a peek into our latest adventures:

A Soothing Start in the Sensory Room We began our week playing in the nursery’s sensory room. The soft lighting, calming sounds, and various textures provided a relaxing environment for the children to unwind.

Mermaid Magic at the Beach Later, we headed to the beach for some sun, sand, and creativity. The highlight was when the children decided to turn each other into mermaids! With giggles and teamwork, they covered each other's legs with sand, creating beautiful mermaid tails. The sight of our sandy mermaids basking in the sunshine was truly magical.

A Special Trip to Hornby Hobby The excitement peaked with a special bus trip to Hornby Hobby. The children were thrilled to see the amazing displays of model trains, airplanes, and other miniature wonders. Their curiosity knew no bounds as they explored the intricacies of the models, asking questions and enjoying racing on the Scalextric.

Playing Hairdressers We've

played hairdressers! The children had a fantastic time brushing, braiding, and styling Rachel and Kelly's hair. It was a fun way to encourage creativity and build confidence as they took on the roles of stylists, sharing ideas and working together.

Exploring Broadstairs: Fish, Books, and More Our exploration continued with a trip to the shops in Broadstairs. At the aquarium shop, the children were fascinated by the variety of fish. They learned some interesting facts, including that some fish are venomous! The excitement reached a new level when they spotted fish that looked just like Nemo and Dory from the beloved movie. Naturally, the children were eager to watch a bit of "Finding Nemo" afterward!

We also made a quick stop at Tesco to pick up a few supplies for future activities, ensuring we’re all set for more fun in the coming weeks.

A Visit to the Library and a Quick Play To round off the week, we took a lovely walk to the library to exchange our books. The children enjoyed picking out new stories for the week ahead. Afterward, we couldn’t resist a quick play at the nearby park, where the swings and slides provided the perfect end to a busy day.

We had an incredible week full of new experiences, creativity, and laughter. We're already looking forward to what Week 4 has in store! Stay tuned for more adventures at Summer Club!
